On January 21, 2019, JYP Entertainment announced that a new girl group will debut, and this was the first girl group since Twice's 2015 debut.

The ITZY girl group created an official YouTube account, and the label's official channel shared a video trailer revealing the appearances of five people.

ITZY girl group members consisted of 5 members: Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna.

ITZY released their first debut single album IT'z Different on February 12, 2019, and the title song is DALLA DALLA.

The Dala Dala song was a mix of EDM, house, and hip-hop vibes, and the lyrics were well acceptable to the public.

The music video exceeded 14,000,000 views within 24 hours of being released. After debuting at M Countdown on February 21st, he won the first place and achieved 9 crowns on music broadcasting with the same song.

At midnight on July 29th, he made a comeback by releasing the music video of'ICY', the title song of the first mini album IT'z ICY, and achieved 12 crowns on music broadcasting.

ITZY's girl group announced this year's "WANNABE" and "Not Shy" were successful in attracting fandom with good grades.
